Terrie Masten, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Terrie Masten, earned her undergraduate at California State University Los Angeles and her master’s degree at California State University of Long Beach for communicative disorders. Terrie has been working in schools and private practice for 15 years. She has experience working with a variety of speech and language disorders across all age groups. Her specialties include: autism, social groups/pragmatics, augmentative/alternative communication, phonology/articulation, stuttering, school age language, and adult functional communication. Terrie is certified in Assistive Technology and Augmentative Alternative Communication. Terrie has extensive experience supervising and mentoring graduate students and clinical fellows. Terrie has also earned the following distinctions: Outstanding Service Award – California Speech Language Hearing Association, and has been awarded multiple ACE awards through the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and has been on the board of the California Speech-Language Hearing Association (CSHA) for over 7 years. Additionally, Terrie was on the advisory board for Cal State Baptist University for the communication disorders department and was instrumental in developing the master’s program there.

Jasmine McConnell, M.A. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Jasmine McConnell completed her undergraduate degree in linguistics at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before attending California State University of Long Beach for her master’s degree in communicative disorders. Jasmine has been working in the schools and in private practice for over 15 years. She has certifications in Augmentative/Alternative Communication, and Assistive Technology from California State University at Northridge. Jasmine has been formally trained in Lindamood Bell’s Visualizing & Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking®, PECs (Picture Exchange Communication system), as well as Social Thinking. Jasmine served on the CSHA advisory board and co-wrote and edited the CSHA District 10 newsletter. Jasmine has extensive experience working with students with autism ranging in age from preschool through high school. Jasmine also specializes in working with students with articulation and phonological disorders, child language disorders, AAC, stuttering, and other motor speech disorders. Jasmine has mentored graduate students and supervises SLPA’s.

Veronica Perez, M.A. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Veronica Perez is a Spanish bilingual speech-language pathologist, who obtained her master’s degree in communication disorders at California State University, Long Beach. Veronica has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 15 years. Veronica has worked in the school districts, as well as in private practice. Veronica specializes in preschool language disorders, autism, articulation/phonology, apraxia, as well as other speech motor planning disorders. She has been formally trained in PECs (Picture Exchange Communication system), and ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule). Veronica has had the opportunity to mentor speech pathologists and supervise many speech-language pathologist assistants.
